- “With bags full of dreams and limited resources, a man came to Hyderabad in the early ’70s to establish his chain of Kirana stores in Ameerpet. But as fate had it, his shops ran into losses given the unforeseen sharp drop in the prices of sugar and other commodities. He was unfortunately forced to, shut his Kirana business.
However, to avoid wastage with the help of his family he set up a quaint little shop to sell jalebi and kachori. But as they say, ‘the scent of authenticity and hard word can’t stay hidden for too long’. In a blink, the food was sold out given its rich taste. The man then saw this as a ray of hope to re-start a new business. That’s the story of the birth of Delhi Mitha Wala. And the man was our grandfather, Mr. Goverdhan Kachwaha.
The loyalty he gained through consistent quality inspired our future endeavours. He saw an opportunity to expand and introduce the locals to a wider range of classic north-Indian sweets like Motichoor ke laddu, Kaju ki Barfi, Ghewar, etc. This initiative worked in his favour and helped crown Delhi Mithai Wala with the title of a credible place that always brings genuine flavours to the table.” Says Mr. Jithender Kachwaha and Mr. Gajender Kachwaha, the CEOs of Delhi Mithai Wala.
